Our Digital Darkroom

Just a glimpse of the Sawyer Photography "darkroom". The days of the chemical baths are over. We use state-of-the-art equipment to "develop" our pictures. Chris uses 3 flat panel displays to edit and perfect his images.

Of course the tunes help with the mood. :)

Fireworks!

Better late than never! Here's a great shot of the fireworks from our viewpoint! We had the opportunity and the pleasure to view a great fireworks show from right on the Willamette River and so close to the barge where they were being launched! You could feel the boom in your chest!!

My Life in Black & White

It's been awhile since we took these pictures, but they're totally worth sharing. This band, My Life in Black & White, is definitely worth checking out. What a talented bunch of guys!

From their website:

"Hailing from the rain soaked streets of Portland Oregon, My Life In Black And White consists of five best friends who are fueled by passion and Pabst Blue Ribbon. Their ferocious blend of punk rock and folk/country is preparing for world domination..."

We went to see their performance, of course to take some cool pictures, but fell in love with their music.

Check out their website for information on their next gig:

Now that summer is officially over, we need to share one of our favorite summer pics! This is our great-nephew, Ben, just hanging out at the family camp-out. We got so many great shots that weekend! It was hard to choose which one to present here, but we think this is a winner for sure!

Construction!

We have been in the deep throws of a major construction project at our house. And considering that there is total chaos in our house as well as no gas to heat our home, we've been staying in our Travel Trailer at Champoeg State Park. It's a beautiful park and a great adventure for the kids. Here's a night shot of our trailer at the park!
